Bars in Novi:

Novi Chophouse

Address:
Crowne Plaza Hotel 27000 Karevich Dr.
Novi, MI 48377
Phone:
(248) 305-5210
Novi Chophouse is definitely an upscale restaurant, but it still has a decent price range. Most meals run about $30, and once you take a look at the ingredients, it's easy to see why. For appetizers, the calamari frites are the current rage. However, the chophouse's speciality is their Morel Mushroom Bisque, made with morels from the great lakes region. If you like mushrooms, one bite of this soup and you'll be sold on the place. If you're looking for a classy night out and want to try something new while you're at it, you can't go wrong with Novi Chophouse.

China Cafe

Address:
24299 Novi Rd
Novi, MI 48375
Phone:
(248) 449-4888
While the name isn't the most unique, China Cafe is a restaurant in a class all of its own. For starters, their lettuce wraps are delicious. They come with a serving of Chinese style chicken along with shredded cheese. Their soups are also something out of this world. If you think you've had a good Wonton or egg drop soup before, just wait until you try China Cafe. For seafood lovers, I strongly recommend their cilantro shrimp stir fry. It's packed with flavor. Furthermore, ANYthing on their Korean menu is good, especially the Na Jo Gi, a spicy chicken with mixed vegetables.

Blaze Pizza

Address:
26401 Novi Rd.
Novi, MI 48375
Phone:
(248) 773-8955
Right off Novi road is Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, a pizza restaurant that specializes in customized oven-fired pizzas. While they have their signature pizzas, such as the Green Stripe (pesto), the Veg Out (vegetarian) and the Artlover (artichokes and garlic), where Blaze Pizza shines is their make your own pizza service. In less than 15 minutes, they'll fire you up a pizza with your choice of over 30 toppings, sauces and cheeses. If you're looking for pizza and fast, Blaze will have you in, out and full to the brim in just about a half hour's time.

Big Tommy's Parthenon

Address:
40380 Grand River
Novi, MI 48375
Phone:
(248) 615-2102
Just as the name implies, Big Tommy's is Novi's best place for a filling Greek meal. The portion sizes here are huge, and best of all, there is no compromise on taste and quality. With a comedy show on the lower level on Fridays and Saturdays and a breakfast buffet on Sunday, I've found myself here multiple times on the same weekend, and I know I'm not alone. The calamari, both "Andy's" and "Elana's" calamari, is excellent here — juicy, full of flavor, and just the right amount of chewiness. If you find yourself in Novi for the weekend, you cannot miss your chance to go to the one and only Big Tommy's Parthenon.

Ajishin

Address:
42270 Grand River Ave
Novi, MI 48375
Phone:
(248) 380-9850
Ajishin is one of Novi's hottest Asian restaurants. A place with this kind of popularity is always busy, so be sure to call ahead of time. The Udon soup is a crowd favorite, and my personal favorite too. The broth is unlike typical Asian soups, as it ends up making the entire dish. While the ingredients are good, you'll mostly be trying to get them out of the way so you can slurp that pure broth. Another bonus: Pricing is good here. Most dishes don't go over $20, and you get a free salad and tea with a meal.

Diamond Jim Brady's

Address:
43271 Crescent Blvd
Novi, MI 48375
Phone:
(248) 380-8460
While Diamond Jim Brady's has been a Detroit classic sine the ‘50s, it's a slightly new addition to Novi's cityscape. It's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, but once you walk inside you'll feel like you're in a 5-star restaurant in New York. With checkerboard floors and sharply polished hardwood seating and tables, the interior of this place is amazing. Best of all, the ambience is casual, not at all what you would expect. Their lobster BLT is simply amazing, what a good combination! The kids menu is also great here, with nothing over $7 and all of it made from fresh, local ingredients.
